The breakfast buffet is decent and the hotel staff are cheerful and helpful.
Expected more from the Standard room - it lacked any character and felt plain and unwelcoming. The pool is small and in the shade most of the day, not great for sunbathing, and the restaurant prices are rather high compared to local options.

Location. Pool. Cleanliness.
Room directly in front of the window, looking to the parking garage of the neighbouring hotel. Wakeup call was forgotten. Furniture a bit worn.

Centrally located, Skytrainstation not far away. And yet quietly situated. Small but nice pool. Room was pleasantly large and always clean. Staff friendly.

English is important for tourism industry line. Laundry service needs major improvement. A drying machine is a good investment.

The wifi in the room, too complicated, did not work most of the time, and too expensive. The safe also did not work.

The st. James was a nice hotel, a bit out of the way if you want to see the sights of Bangkok by foot, but definitely close to the sky train.
